Meet Our Founders
Giampaola P. Murphy
Based in London, UK, Giampaola is an agronomist with over 20 years of experience in Brazilian agriculture. She holds a degree in Agronomy from the Federal University of Goiás — located in the Cerrado biome, one of Brazil’s most important agricultural regions, responsible for around 60% of the country’s agricultural production and exports. She also holds a Master’s degree in International Agribusiness from the UK.
With deep technical and commercial expertise, Giampaola has a solid background in sustainable farming, production methods, quality assurance, and international trade. She maintains strong ties with Brazilian farmers and has a well-established network, particularly across Asia. With this experience, she identified the opportunity to connect Brazil’s top suppliers to trustworthy global markets through ethical and transparent partnerships.
Maycon Klinton
Based in Brazil, Maycon has over 10 years of hands-on experience working across key agricultural regions of the country, particularly in grain and livestock sectors. Like Giampaola, he graduated in Agronomy from the Federal University of Goiás, located in the Cerrado — a strategic region for Brazilian agribusiness.
Maycon also holds a postgraduate degree from the Federal University of Viçosa, one of Brazil’s most respected agricultural institutions. With strong relationships with farmers and a clear understanding of the market, he specializes in structuring sustainable, win-win deals. His commitment to rural development and fair trade practices is a fundamental pillar of GreenGate’s values.
